The 100 Years of Monster Movies starts in March of 2010 and continues through Halloween. It is meant to be an engaging, interactive experience for monster fans of all ages, and there are lots of ways to be a part of the fun:
ATTEND OUR EVENTS
CONVENTIONS: 100YMM is hosting exhibits, screenings and activities at select horror-themed conventions throughout the year. As they are confirmed, events will be announced here on the site in news posts, and event details will be listed in the events section. Partnering promoters can be found in our partners page.
FILM FESTIVALS: the last few years have seen the return of revival-house-style theatrical screenings, and this summer we are partnering with several film festivals to screen classic and modern monster films. We’ll post them here as news items as they are confirmed, and they will be listed in our events section.
INTERACT DIGITALLY
WEB HUB: This site is the main repository of all 100YMM information, such as events and news. Subscribe to our RSS feed to get the latest information on monster happenings near you, or email us if you have some and we’ll be sure to get it seen.
OUR FACEBOOK PAGE : Clearly the place for sharing content and opinion, our Facebook page grew to almost 1,500 fans in just the short few weeks before the campaign even launched! Here you’ll find photo albums illustrating the history of the monster film, links to other media, and the opinions of a growing legion of monster fans — join them and tell your friends!
OUR YOUTUBE CHANNEL: Here you’ll find a robust gathering of video content, from the dozens of classic monster movie trailers already up, to our favorite monster-related videos from other YouTubers. Continually updated, subscribe to it for the latest in monster-related eye candy!
